The figure of the Twins has always exerted a special fascination in all human societies, to the point that in many cultures and traditions, they gave rise to the creation of great empires, such as Romulus and Remus with Rome or on the other side of the ocean. Atlántico, Hunahpú and Ixbalanqué in the powerful pre-Columbian civilizations.

Art has also been the depository of this fascination and observing this geminoid representation in one of the key points of a 16th century Gothic church, I cannot stop thinking about Jung and seeing in them an allegory of the anima and the animus, maintaining that equitable balance that only provides Knowledge, in this case, the Open Book that they share.
