The Meninas were royal infantas, who became famous once immortalized by the great painter Diego Velázquez, to the point of being internationally known and constituting, for a few years now, another of the peculiar hallmarks of a city, certainly cosmopolitan and open-door, as is Madrid.

In this third season, their presence in the main streets of the Center of Madrid, converted into attractive icons by the work of well-known artists and designers, to the point of being able to consider them as authentic pieces of Art, continue to awaken all kinds of feelings, both in own as in strangers.

The shadow of the present Menina, located at the beginning of the central Preciados street, seems to point to passers-by in the direction of large commercial establishments, which arguably host more visitors throughout the season, although it is precisely on these dates , at Christmas, when people come, forming a whole tidal wave of people, who now, with the provisions on Covid-19, see access limited by the appropriate police controls.
