In some way, some animals are part of the Way of the Heavens - and I refer to the traditional symbols used since ancient times by Astrology - geese are also part of the Ways of the Earth.

Birds generally associated with the Mystery and Revelation, the geese are an important ally for pilgrims who through the centuries have been making the hard pilgrimage path known as the Santiago's Way.

Also some of the medieval brotherhoods that embodied their Wisdom in the sculptures of the main temples of this Way of the Stars - in addition to the Way of the Milky Way, as the Santiago's Way is also known - responded to the code name of Jars: Ocas .

I meet them frequently and I have always considered them as birds of good omen and indisputable companions of the Way.
