We can think that nothing has changed, that our Christmases continue to be like those pleasant memories whose shadows and lights bring to mind other times, other moments and other situations.
We can think that just as the video killed the radio star, as the song says, new technologies have also killed the magic of black and white photography.
We can think that the unbearable influence of fashions and all their media power, can make us forget that poetic force that animates in all monochromatic expositions.
We can think that the world is not monochrome, as the writer Michael Ende suggested in his work "Momo", to revalue the importance of color.
But deep down we know that color is a fantasy illuminated in that metaphorical Platonic cave, where the World of Idea and the World of Form come together in the shades of the soul: black and white.
Needless to say, except to wish you a Merry Monochrome Christmas.
