I don't pay for votes. And several are the reasons why I do not pay and I will list in this post why. But first I would like to apologize you reader for handling this matter. At the same time I believe that the same subject bothers not only me, it does not only affect me, but you also that have a lot of work to be recognized and clear, rewarded by the quality content that you put here in Steemit.
I don't want to sound "purist," "innocent," or even "conservative" in my opinion against buying and selling votes, or voting-buying projects that have become a trend here at Steemit in the last 6 months. But, I'm terrified, angry and a little sad to see that everything that drew me to Steemit 1 year and 3 months ago, no longer exists.
When I joined the platform it was only necessary that I do my best to build a quality post to be rewarded. It was almost automatic. I launched the post, some whale saw, liked and appreciated my post and there was my reward. Not today. Aside from having to build a quality post, I'll have to pay to be rewarded. What is the logic of this?
I don't pay for votes because I believe Steemit is a cog. We all need each other. The whale needs to increase its power by curating, so it will need people (authors) who produce content of at least acceptable quality, so that it votes on that content and 7 days later it will collect its reward for curation. But apparently the values here have changed and perhaps for the worse.
I don't pay for votes, because I want and seek true votes, based on people who really appreciated my content and not automatic votes, forced and without criteria, coming from bots that more tumultuous, confuse and contribute nothing to our human interaction on the platform.
I was going to say that I do not worry, but I do worry about seeing that my posts nowadays pennies. But at the same time I'm glad to see that those who vote in my posts are those who truly appreciate what I do here all this time at Steemit and I'm really grateful for that.
I close this post by once again apologizing to my readers, but at the same time I am happy to be dealing with this subject here. My opinion is the opinion of a user who, like many others, saw Steemit in its beginning and miss the true "soul" of this platform that is to see each one of us taking their reward according to the value they add to Steemit.
