Here's a little sneak peak into 
@cryptoctopus' wedding.

Wow it's been a busy semester! I've been totally swamped with schoolwork since August and things are finally starting to wind down.
This August I shot a the reception for my wife's cousin, Annie, and her now-husband Renaud (
Since I've been so busy with school I just finally got around to editing them, but I guess you get what you pay for!
Most of these were shot with a FujiFilm X-T1 with a 35mmF2 lens. I used a cheapo $30 flash from Amazon for the inside shots.

The wedding was in a beautiful hexagonal church in Montreal with stain-glass windows. I'm glad they hired a pro to shoot this part because quite a bit of lighting equipment was needed (it was fairly dark with dark wooden ceilings, make bounce flash impractical).

The reception location was beautiful, it was at Annie's parents house in a white tent outside.

Here is Annie and Renaud. Having a photogenic couple made my job a lot easier!

Having a white tent is a real blessing as a photographer, you can get consistently (and consistent) good looking fill when bouncing off of the ceiling.
The first dance as a married couple:

Annie's dad made some awesome tables and benches using a cut down tree from the property.

During the reception there were activities to partake in outside, and since it was a Canadian wedding one of them had to be hockey related.

My wife was in the bridal party so we were able to sneak in a picture with the bride and groom. (note the XL Jenga in the background)

The send off was amazing, while the band was playing everyone blew bubbles. I have to say I'm proud of how these shot's turned out, lots of color and some amazing bokeh.

I'll probably post more at some point, but I just wanted to give the highlights for now. I shot one more wedding about a month ago, I'll definitely make a post about that as well. I hoping to start taking more pictures again, I've been in a real creativity slump lately that I need to get out of.
