Welcome my dear American travelers and thank you very much for making a temporary stop in my post, I am not going to deny the fact that I am a fan of the absurd, that is why when I read the synopsis of "America: The Motion Picture" I could not pass up the opportunity for an invitation to see something stupid, violent and funny that is based on the history of the United States told in a completely irreverent way. Without further ado, get ready to wage a strange and fun battle for independence.

The animation is very fluid and is loaded with many details that make the moments of action more pleasant, it uses a good color palette that gives the film a gloomy and gloomy touch, which is broken in a good way with showy moments of bright colors, the scenes of Benjamin Franklin are the ones that best represent such moments.

The soundtrack is fine, it has some good moments but apart from that there isn't much else, it fulfills the function it sets out to do.

The construction of the world is completely absurd on purpose, this means that many scenarios only have a comic objective with high levels of stupidity, I must point out how many times there are jokes in the setting that, although they are not in plain sight, are still pleasant when you realize its existence.

From the start the film makes clear its objectives of being completely irreverent, absurd, grotesque and violent, all this accumulation of characteristics constitute a very funny stupid comedy in which the guts and viscera will be flying at all times. As I said before, its narrative focuses on style over substance and since something is happening on the screen at all times, the film never feels tedious or boring.

The characters are only there to blaspheme, do stupid things and generate violent situations, taking into account the intention of the film to only be a satire, its characters stick perfectly to that initial intention.
America: The Motion Picture is a film that easily falls into the absurd, the stupid and the black humor; All of this makes for an excellent satire that seeks to tell American history in the most shameless, funny, and untruthful way possible. It is for all of the above that it deserves 3.5 stars out of 7, an ideal tape for those who just want to laugh at all the ridiculous things it contains.
