That Satoshi Nakamoto was quite the wily one now wasn't he, releasing the bitcoin white paper on Halloween...
Was it on purpose or just a coincidence?
Exactly 12 years ago today, the creator of bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto released its white paper for the world to see.
While he had hopes it would eventually become what it is today, I don't think he truly imagined that it would be worth $14k per coin in a little over a decade's time.
By the way, what better way to celebrate bitcoin white paper day than having bitcoin hit $14k this morning:

So, while you are out there collecting candy with family and friends, remember that the thing that changed all of our lives was also released on this day some 12 years ago today.
I think the next 12 years are going to see a similar amount of growth that we have seen over the last 12 years.
Though, it may even be at a faster clip, if you can imagine that. Though I don't thin the price will go at as fate of a pace in percentage terms.
I think we are going to see bitcoin adopted by the traditional financial system and I think that has already begun with the likes of Paul Tudor Jones getting involved as well as better custody solutions being offered by the heavyweights like Fidelity.
Unexpectedly, we are also going to see bitcoin adopted as a treasury asset on corporate balance sheets, which we have already seen happen with MicroStrategy and others.
Also, we are going to see the masses get involved being really ushered in with announcements like what we saw from PayPal earlier this week.
Finally, I think we are going to see governments start using it as a global settlement layer for central bank transactions.
What better way for governments to do business than with a currency that isn't controlled by any one country?!
To me, that is the future of bitcoin and ultimately what is going to help it get to several hundred thousand per coin.
The last 12 years were great, the next 12 years are going to be even better.
