On some exchanges it even touched it.
However, on the US based exchanges that I follow, prices got to $9,940 as the high.
This $10k level is likely a very important level.
Why does $10k matter?
First of all it is a major psychological level that people tend to pay attention to.
Secondly, it appears this is a major level that institutions are paying attention to as well.
Tom Lee of Fundstrat goes into some detail as to why that is here:
He says that institutions will see that new highs are much more likely now if bitcoin can crack $10k, and that would represent a double from current prices.
Anytime you can get a double in finance in a relatively short period of time, it gets people's attention.
Stay informed my friends.
