Took an a.m walk today. Usually I walk at night to relax but yesterday was rather cold so I did it this a.m. I ran across this painted turtle. He was in the middle of the road. We have three ponds in the apartment complex I live in and I am assuming it was trying to go from one pond to another. We have some careless drivers around here so I decided to move it (I say it because I am not sure if it is a male or female) off the street in the direction it appeared to be going.
As you can tell from my picture the turtle was probably wondering if I was going to try to harm it, which I wasn't. I just didn't want it to potentially get hit by a car. I'm sure it went about its turtle day as I went about mine. It was cute so I took a picture and decided to share. Enjoy :)
