most people are stuck in a poverty trap its really sad. Thats the decision i made to not be stuck in that trap because its just not something i can cope with. They say the difference between lower and middle class is this idea of instant gratification Vs deferred gratification. I deferred spending anymore money on the thing i loved the most about life which was my car at the time. I sold it and begun the mission i believe i was destined towards.
I was smart enough to realise that Apple stock was a great investment after buying an iMac sometime around 2002. I just wasn't old enough to believe in my own conviction so when Bitcoin came along i knew it was my second chance becasue i was old enough to do something about it. Sometimes it takes a kick up the arse to follow through with ideas you might have especially with investing. Just figuring out what Bitcoin was and where to buy was a challenge to begin with. I had to learn it all myself it wasn't clear at the time. When i first found mtGox bitcoin was 30 dollars. I checked again the following Monday after the weekend and it was 60 dollars if i remember right. Thats when i figured i needed to get some of this stuff only to be brought back down to reality when it seemed the only way was to send money to Japan to a dodgy exchange which would take about a month to clear. I also remember stumbling across Btc-e for the first time and being blown away as to how to buy litecoin with Bitcoin. There was about 8 cryptos at the time, it was really surreal because it seemed so underground but yet so alive. Peercoin was trading at about 12 dollars at the time i felt like id stumbled on some underground ecosytem of money id never heard of before that everyone was using. I knew straight away though that you could get so rich trading this stuff after watching how volatile it was.
