How do you pick a minimalist style and maintain your minimalist wardrobe to stay fresh and stylish without feeling the need to purchase a new item.
Question two
Thank you @millycf1976 for the questions. I am someone who loves to stay simple and classy. I guess I took the lifestyle from my mum. She wasn't much of a fashionista so she didn't dress my siblings and I so much. I grew up wearing plenty of gowns. Even as an adult, I still wear plenty of gowns. I have come to embrace that gowns are super comfortable to wear and look classy too.
I am not much of a color combination person. Ye, I care less about what color fits my outfit. So in order not to embarrass myself by wearing color riots clothes, I just pick only neutral colors. So 90% of my dresses are almost same colors. The difference is just the style of the dresses.
With my kind of dress sense, I don't pressurize myself so much on whether or not I have lots of clothes. First because I hardly go out if it is not work, church or maybe an occasion which I seldom even attend. So from year to year, I may just go shopping like once or twice in a year.
One would say as a TV host, I should have plenty of stylish clothes. Anyway that aspect is already solved. I have a costumier who handles my wardrobe. So she brings the clothes, I wear and she takes them back. I don't bother my head about those stylish clothes.
For my wardrobe, I have plenty of dark gowns. With my gowns, anything can go on my feet. I can choose to wear a slippers, sneakers or sandals. Actually I did buy some colorful footwears to pop out the odd colors. Ranging from slippers, sandals and sneakers. Especially sneakers, I love to be super comfortable by the way. Any outfit that would take my precious comfortability away from me, I ain't in for it. To go with the gowns, I have lots of head bands that I wear to complement my outfits so as not to look too neutral.
With my choice of colors, I can stay a very long time without needing to buy new wears. I like to manage myself. I always tell myself while choosing my clothes that I may not have the time to buy new sets of clothes again until a long while so why not buy stuff that you would wear and manage yourself with.
I think my simple lifestyle has really helped me in money management. I am not saying its wrong to always buy what you love but what happens when you don't have money at a time. What will you do? These are the things I ask myself most times. Is it not better to spend on what you know will be useful to you for a long time?. Well, these are my innocent thoughts by the way.
Thank you for reading.
See you again.
