PhotoFeed Contest - Portrait Photography Round 106 | Carnivalesque

The faces of people at Carnival or at nearby festivals will always be an object of attraction, for their festive or sometimes confusing expressiveness. I did not take these photos at Carnival, but at a fair held in my city (Cumaná, Venezuela) to celebrate its foundation, which is called “Nights of yesteryear”. As it takes place at the end of November, the carnival spirit is already beginning to be foreshadowed, as these photos show.

I am participating in this 106th edition of this contest with the first one. Thank you for this opportunity. Greetings to all.

Los rostros de las personas en Carnaval o en fiestas cercanas siempre serán objeto de atracción, por su expresividad festiva o, a veces, confusa. Estas fotos no las hice en Carnaval, sino en una feria que se hace en mi ciudad (Cumaná, Venezuela) para celebrar su fundación, que se denomina “Las noches de antaño”. Como se hace a finales de noviembre, el espíritu carnavalesco ya comienza a presagiarse, como lo muestran estas fotos.
