Today, we held an activity for the Church’s Young Single Adults. We organized a retro-themed party to spend some time together, featuring games and a few highly entertaining group activities. It was one of those relaxed gatherings where you don’t need to do much to have a great time and enjoy each other’s company.
What I appreciate about these activities is that, beyond just getting to know one another and sharing time together, we also find simple ways to reflect on the teachings found in the scriptures. Through games and questions, we can revisit stories, principles, and messages things we may already be familiar with, but which are always worth recalling. I love that we can learn, have fun, and strengthen both our friendships and our faith all at the same time.
Hoy tuvimos una actividad de los Jóvenes Adultos Solteros de la Iglesia. Organizamos una fiesta retro para compartir un rato entre todos, con juegos y algunas dinámicas bastante entretenidas. Fue una de esas reuniones tranquilas en las que no hace falta hacer demasiado para pasarla bien y disfrutar de la compañía de los demás.
Algo que me gusta de estas actividades es que, además de conocernos y compartir, también encontramos maneras sencillas de recordar las enseñanzas de las Sagradas Escrituras. A través de juegos y preguntas podemos repasar historias, principios y mensajes que quizá ya conocemos, pero que siempre vale la pena volver a recordar. Me parece bonito que podamos aprender, divertirnos y fortalecer nuestra amistad y nuestra fe al mismo tiempo.
