Day 27: A difficult time in your life
A difficult time in my life was in 2001, in a previous post I had already told you that my mother had had to sell ice cream at my school to get ahead. Well, in that year the difficult began. It all started when my stepfather gave him a respiratory arrest and we had to take him to a clinic, he had to be hospitalized because he was seriously ill, the last day we went to visit him, he still couldn't breathe on his own, he was breathing through a machine, That day we spent the whole day with him and at night we went home, the clinic was two hours away driving. The next day we woke up to the bitter news that he died because while he was sleeping he unconsciously removed the tubes that helped him breathe ... A few days later we were doing his burial, I remember the number of people I was seeing for the first time in my life and I felt so overwhelmed and near his coffin I stood and said I do not understand what all these people are doing here, they should not be here, I have never seen them in my life nor have I seen them near him, all these people are false ... It was a very difficult day, I did not want to be near anyone and I did not cry in public either and when they were burying him I did not want to look, I just moved away from the place, my mother did not want to stay long either, she has her own belief that everything must be given in life, after death there is no use, nor cry for someone.
My stepfather helped us a lot at home, after all this we were only left in debt and in great poverty, we had no food, my mother would take me to a market and I would see her borrowing, I only saw her fill up with debts, Some other people give her food that looked like dog food, I know it sounds bad but it was food that did not seem suitable for human consumption ... And no, I was not being ungrateful, things as they are, I am currently a rational person and I can say it with a lot of basis, in short my mother had many jobs, she sold many of her personal things to support us and it was not only that year, it was a few hard years, I do not feel ashamed to say where I come from but it is not one of my topics to speak, they were very hard times that I can hardly erase from my head.
