I am a very slow learner; sometimes I have to repeat information for a long time before it becomes registered-knowledge in my mind.
So it is safe to say that I am not a particularly brilliant person, but this means that I must constantly learn faster and harder in order to keep up in the game of knowledge and experience.
This may appear to be a stressful situation; indeed, it is. However, life can give some people lemons while giving others Ferraris. It is up to you to do whatever you want with the card you have been given.
We're you given lemons or Ferrari?
For me, I am certain I was not given a Ferrari; from the health conditions to the terrible genetics, the slow learning, and all of the childhood trauma and dysfunctionality, I do not believe any of these can be classified as a Ferrari.
The majority of my friends excelled in math, but I struggled greatly. I listened a lot, over and over, and I still do not understand what it is all about, and I failed a lot in school because of math, so I started to wonder if there was something wrong with me.
My failing point could have been my comfort zone, because it is easy to accept our limitations, especially when they are not our fault. A comfort zone is a place where we do not have to put in too much effort to be accepted.
This is something we can do without moving a muscle; it is a passion we enjoy even though we are not compensated for it; it is a reality you are very comfortable with.
However, comfort zones can lead to stagnation.
For example, I have been doing extensive research for my partner. Our partnership meant that I get to be the research guy. So I was supposed to be the money printer while she worked hard to provide the brawn.
So, after 4 to 5 days of doing close to 10 hours of research per day, I realized that this work is actually very difficult. In fact, I had only scratched the surface of some of this research, and I can hear myself thinking in my sleep.
I wake up thinking about them, and I eat thinking about them and how to crack them, but the information is simply too technical. Technical terms can be extremely confusing to the average person.
However, mastering the technicalities of these research and using them to create my own content means that my partner and I may be able to print some good money for ourselves in the next 3 to 4 months, but I used the word "might" because it does not look like I will even get it right.
However, this is an outlook statement.
I am not one to shy away from a challenge; my partner has provided me with an excellent platform to work with; however, despite the fact that the platform is flawed and relies heavily on my efforts, it still feels like too much to handle.
I am aware of my strengths and weaknesses; however, the things I can do will not put food on the table; it is the things I cannot do that will. It turns out that every time I wake up, I must revisit my weaknesses and look for a way to find that "eureka" moment within myself. I'm a solution guy.
I like to find smart ways to achieve things. I only discovered this in my adulthood, so it turns out I was not as stupid as I used to believe. How come? Well responsibilities makes you extra creative.
People with bills to pay do not have erections; why?
Because you are using every fiber of your nerves, your brain is working overtime, and there is not enough blood flowing to your penis. I am not a doctor, but I believe you understand my analogy.
Obviously, my comfort zone cannot put food on the table, so I must adapt or drown. It is either I figure out how to navigate this maze or something drastic happens. What is my comfort zone? It is not having to do technical analysis on Blockchain protocols and other tech-related tasks, but am I going to give up? No. I would rather be thought of as a "trying man" than a "giving up man."
