I know a lot of people who are long-term crypto holders but they've been desperately complaining about the dip even more than people who aren't. Truth is, this is actually normal but then here is a psychological aspect to it: Many people aren't seeing the dip as a an opportunity to buy, this is either because their finances are depleted or they're too scared to buy.
Having no money to buy and having but unwilling to buy are two different things. While some are convincing themselves that they would buy if they have money, they wouldn't because of FUD. Take a look at the crypto space or medias that talk much about crypto. Most of them are always spreading FUD during the dip and spreading FOMOOMR, (which is fear of missing out on more rewards.) during pumps

In reality most people I've talked to don't see this dip as an opportunity to buy, they see it as an opportunity to count their losses and leave with their lives. A lot of others have greedily put their life savings into BTC and expected a sudden pump to 100k so that they can double up but then due to the fact that they've missed the most important crypto lesson due to FOMO they're left with no choice but to count their losses and pull out their funds rather quickly because of emergency.
Crypto isn't something you'll throw a fund of which you'll rather need urgently else there's a big chance you'll lose out. I won't entirely say "don't invest what you can't afford to lose", I'll say "invest money you'll need in ten years or 15 years time".
The truth is, when you need some amount of money in 10 or 15 years time, it means that money doesn't solve your immediate need, it means you have other funds to rely on, it means you are entirely independent of any money you'll be needing in 15 years time. What I mean is, in 15 years a lot will change and you might not even be needing that money anymore.
Imagine having let's say 500$ in BTC kept in a wallet for 15 years, there's no way it wouldn't appreciate in price because that's a long term investment done with an amount of money you wouldn't need for a long period of time. It's pure logic, basic economic scope applied to cryptocurrency.
Bitcoin dips even further due to FUD, taking other crypto down with it. Even if it constantly repeats this pattern you'll still see weak hands trying to get out real fast and take their money. One thing is that pumps, dips and corrections* are part of crypto and this is exactly why when im buying with external cash
I buy when there are major dips and when i'm buying with maybe airdrop or other crypto that has gained, I of course buy at anytime. I understand that taking money off real-time business into crypto can come with lots of emotions and a dip somtimes automatically mean to a lot of pept that Crypto is bottling it.
Leofinance or hive is a Crypto space that logically shills the best projects to buy into and this is because I've literarily not lost anything since I've been buying into projects shilled or talked about in this space. It's important that one develops the right mentality when it comes to investing in crypto because a lit dip or a major one reveals a lot of intent of people towards crypto.
