Sometimes, I don't know what goes on in the back of my mind anytime I try to take a picture, but I believe that the basic things I tend to do are; Process, decision, point, then shoot. The first thing I do whenever I spot a subject is to firstly process, This processing stage is how I get to envisage what a picture would look like when I finish taking it.

This subconscious aspect, allows me to create an image of what the result of a shot would be like. The possibilities I could create with it. (Majorly, I take pictures because it's my passion and secondly I do so because I use them for my blog)

The processing stage allows me to make the decision, if the result of my processing stage wasn't good enough, I'll leave it, or take it then delete it afterward. Photography is about making choices, it's having to choose in a split second as to whether something is worth of shooting or not
The next thing is to make the decision.

Would it be a portrait shot, wide-angle, will I utilize telephoto, or should it be a straight main camera shot? Sometimes, these decisions are made out of creative instincts. Different types of shots would take a shot, but then the best choice is what eventually adds the right aesthetics to a picture.

Positioning is another thing. When a person is using a sub-par camera, it's the positioning of the shot that might give away the quality of the camera. When I was using my Redmi 9 back in the days to shoot, I discovered my low light pictures were bad, so I decided not to shoot in low light again.

Shooting with my Samsung A52 back then was better, the low light pictures were amazing, and shooting in really good light was stunning. With portraits, you had to be very still, especially if you want to get very good bokeh effects

The next thing is to shoot there's no job with doing this. Phone photography is quite easier. A digital camera is a bit more complex, at least for people who are still amateurs.

I learned how to handle the camera when I was studying photography for journalists. It wasn't complex but it was challenging because I didn't have all the comfort of time, especially with shooting, this is because as a journalist, you need to be precise as to when you'll press and release the shutter button, what about the precision with the viewfinder? How about the conciseness of the position, and positioning.

What if you're having to compete with numerous cameramen and you need to take a clear and story-worthy picture as demanded by your editor?

All these are challenges. So with other professions like journalism, shooting might be difficult, even if It seems simple as just clicking away on a screen when it comes to mobile photography.

In conclusion

This is why I appreciate shooting with my iPhone and Samsung A72 with ease. All these shots are taken with my Samsung A72. I like the lifestyle of regular people. The simplicity in the natural tendencies of human activities.

These pictures might not be themed by I just appreciate the fact that sometimes taking pictures of the simplest things can be good. So this time, I didn't have the luxury of sophistication in my iPhone editor.

This time, I wanted to try out how it feels like to shoot with an upper midrange phone, and believe me, even in its most simplest form, it looks really good. Here you have it, you can tell me which is the best shot for you.
