Hello friends, living in Venezuela has become a challenge and every day is a challenge, so you have to reinvent yourself every so often, even when the power goes out, as you will know in Venezuela we are going through a serious crisis and this affects basic services including electrical energy, so you have to do something useful when the electricity goes out, I decided for a while to save some pants that I liked a lot, because of their cut and because they are classics, and buying new ones is very expensive.
Hola amigos, vivir en venezuela se ha vuelto un reto y cada día es un desafío, por ello hay que reinventarse a cada rato, inclusive cuando se va la luz, como sabrán en venezuela estamos pasando una crisis grave y esto afecta a los servicio básicos incluyendo la energía eléctrico, por ello hay que hacer algo útil cuando se va la electricidad, yo durante un tiempo decidir salvar unos pantalones que me gustaba mucho, por su corte y porque son unos clásicos, además que comprarse unos nuevos sale muy caro.

Entonces decidí que cada vez que se fuera la luz me dedicaría a cocer unos jeans para salvarlos con ayuda de una buena luz de emergencia, así que le dedique bastante tiempo hasta lograr repararlo, el primer pantalón es un Levis 501, tenía varios huecos y ya que los cortes de luz duraban alrededor de dos horas era el tiempo suficiente para reparar cada abertura a mano, fueron ya varias jornadas invertidas
I learned on the fly, the stitch used is a simple one, fix the fabric or patch with school rubber and iron it so that it does not move and remain uniform, I used a plastic ring that I improvised and it fit very well; I learned that embroidery without a guide or square, which is the fabric used for it, is much more difficult, now every time I see an embroidery I see the patience, dedication and time invested of a hardworking person who loves that art.
Aprendí sobre la marcha, la puntada usada es una simple, fije la tela o parche con goma escolar y la planche para que no se moviera y quedara uniforme, use un aro de plástico que improvise y me quedo muy bien; aprendí que el borda sin una guía o cuadril que es la tela usada para ello, es mucho más difícil, ahora cada vez que veo un bordado veo la paciencia, dedicación y tiempo invertido de una persona laboriosa que ama ese arte.
The patch used as you see is made of a camouflage fabric, I like its design and it represents me with my style.
In addition to sewing around the patch, I decided to reinforce it with some stitches along the length, which go in the same direction of the weft of the fabric, so that the reinforcement will not be so noticeable.
El parche usado como ven es de una tela de camuflaje, me gusta su diseño y me representa con mi estilo.
Además de coser alrededor del parche, decidí reforzarlo con unas puntadas a lo largo, que van en la misma dirección de la trama de la tela, así no se notara tanto el refuerzo.
When I finished those pants, I decided that hand embroidery is not my thing, it affected my eyes a lot and the repair of the other pants was done with a sewing machine, to facilitate the process and save me time, the difference is remarkable both in the finish as in the time invested.
Cuando termine ese pantalón, decidí que el bordado a mano no es lo mío, me afecto la vista bastante y la reparación de los otros pantalones la realice con una máquina de coser, para facilitar el proceso y ahorrarme tiempo, la diferencia es notable tanto en el acabado como en el tiempo invertido.
El otro pantalón por ejemplo decidí colocarle un parche de una tela diferente, mucho más elástica que la tela jean normal, me gusto como quedo porque me gusta el color negro y también va con mi personalidad.
I also reinforced it with stitches along the weft, in this particular one the stitches are thin compared to the next pants.
También lo reforcé con puntadas a lo largo de la trama, en este en particular las puntadas son delgadas con respecto al siguiente pantalón.
In the last pants, I chose a jean fabric as a patch and in the same way I reinforced with wider stitches to vary the shape and style, in the end I didn't like it as much as the previous two, but in general I fit well and strong.
En el último pantalón, escogí como parche una tela jean y de igual forma reforcé con puntadas más anchas para variar la forma y el estilo, al final no me gustó tanto como los dos anteriores, pero en general me quedo bien y fuerte.
I forgot to clarify that in all cases I unstitched the pants on one side to be able to sew them better and then when I finished I sewed them again with a colored thread from the original; in truth it seems to them; I would like a sincere comment, thank you.
Se me olvidaba aclarar que en todos los casos descosí por un lado los pantalones para poder coserlo mejor y luego al terminar los volví a coser con un hilo de color del original; en verdad que les parece; me gustaría un sincero comentario, gracias.
