What an awesome experience it's been so far with our little Bible reading project!
I have to admit it, reading the entire Bible in a year seems daunting but I challenged myself to do it. And with the awesome group of people that we've already assembled into our community, I'm sure I'll get through it!
I have been using the Bible App for years but never really messed with their plans. Mostly because I didn't believe in a lot of the devotional 'extras' that the plans had but 'Eat This Book' is great because...It's just scripture!
Takes about 15-20 minutes to get through the chapters every day, which is perfect. I think that time allows me to stop worrying about the outside world and focus on God. But what's a cool feature of this reading plan is what happens once you read the Psalm for the day...
The 'Talk It Over' section is really important for this journey!
We try to get people talking in Discord, and I know that's a work in progress...But the 'Talk It Over' right at the end of the readings helps us all express our thoughts and feelings about what we've just read.
My dream for this bible reading plan is to get people engaging and talking every single day. God is to be celebrated and this should add so much more to the celebration of reading His Holy Word.
Man, I'm fired up!!!!
