I love setting goals for myself...It's kind of a habit I've been doing for years.
It used to be strictly for business purposes, and then it grew into blockchain goals. But over the past few years, it's been very much spiritual goals that I've set up for myself.
Every year, we do a 'bible read through' as a community in the Kingdom Bible group here on chain. And I'm currently on day 232 of the reading plan along with a few others.
But I like to push myself :)
And I committed to starting and finishing a bible reading 'system' that I had started year after year, but never saw it through.
It's called the Grant Horner Bible Reading Plan and it's a doozy.
While most reading plans make you go over around 3-4 chapters to get through the bible in a year, the Horner plan comes in at 10 chapters a day. And if you follow it through, you should complete it in 250 days. Which again, has been a goal of mine...To read through the bible in less than a year.
So I wanted to push myself :)
I just completed the Horner plan, 25 days ahead of schedule!
It took me 225 days to get through the bible and honestly, I have fallen in love with 'pushing' myself in bible readings. In fact, this is the 5th time I've read through the entire bible since I started tracking my bible readings, and plan on starting a new plan right away!
Hey, there are way worse things to be addicted too right ;)
I also used my PSC Bible (Personal Size Canterbury by Schuyler bibles) for this read through. Which was important to me, to use one bible only for the entire read through.
