Before I became a dad it was easy to get caught up in the stresses of life and to allow time to pass quickly without taking a moment to step back and appreciate the little things in life that make us happy.
From the moment my daughter was born my eyes were opened in the sense that life had just become so much more and that I now had a greater purpose to serve in shaping this little girl's life and to watch her grow and continue to develop new skills and traits everyday.
Everyday brings new ups and downs but every moment is another memory to cherish from counting down all the firsts of everything milestone to comparing growth from year to year.
My daughter is a total ham (just like her mom) but I've learned so much from her too by learning to open up more, let my fun side show more, to open my heart in ways I never thought were possible and to see things with the same kind of awe and wonder as she does.
(Being silly and loving it)
(In awe by the magic of the Christmas tree)
I hope anyone reading this can take a moment to take a step back and appreciate all of the little that they have in their lives and realize that life is too short to let it pass you by without grabbing a hold of every moment and making them count.
