This Content Matters!

We're about to enter the Twilight Zone!

I'm basically going to write a long form piece, about the importance of....Short form content!

Crazy right?

But since the launch of the new UI from LeoFinance and Threads, I think this post is as important as ever.

Hive has always had a content problem!

No, not that the content is bad or not valuable. But the fact that there has been discussions about 'what is quality content' for as long as I can remember. For years, we've seen the debate that has taken place from different members of the community.

Generally, long form content has always had a home here. And that's fantastic! Personally, the less people use Medium the better in my opinion lol. But seriously, Hive will always be home to some amazing long form content.

However, the issue comes up when you look at 'web traffic' as a whole online. Where is the majority of it generated?

Tiktok, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube (shorts)....

Literally, short form content drives traffic online. And it's what most users seem to gravitate to.

So what about this blockchain? We have all the power in the world to build and develop true web 3 applications, but for whatever reason, it's traditionally been looked down on.

Thank goodness for LeoFinance!

I can't begin to describe what Threads will mean to this blockchain going forward. Along with apps like @liketu , these are EXACTLY what this blockchain needs to make big waves online.

The biggest issue that I had with Threads was speed, which was attacked with a vengeance in this brand new UI. The moment you load this up, you see it's designed for lighting quick load times and that's needed!

Now this is a very early release of this new UI, but we can see the LEO team has already added new updates since it's launch yesterday. I'm a raving fan of a few things with Threads, this is what I've noticed that'll help propel it to new heights...

Speed

Light I mentioned, this thing is QUICK! It loads flawlessly, and that's important on a user side of things.

Clean Look & Feel

Just look at the layout above, it's got that 'Twitter feel' which at the end of the day...Doesn't need a degree in computer science to master. Another huge plus for ease of use and getting more people to actually...Heaven forbid...Use a blockchain!

The Team

This gives the marketing team at LEO some awesome ammunition to put in their arsenal. And we've already seen some of the strategies they will put in place to get all those new monthly active users we desperately need on Hive.

All in all, this is a massive win for Hive!

I encourage everyone on the blockchain, log into the new UI on Leo and start...Threading!

You don't need to write War & Peace, you don't need to be a professional photographer, and you won't need to write a Pulitzer Prize winning article...Just 'Thread'!
