It is December 2nd in the majority of parts of the world today and I'd like to greet you with a happy Thursday from this sunny side of the Philippine archipelago--Cebu. ☀️ For today's post, I'd like to share with you, dearest Hivers, photos from the recent quick breather in the mountains session I had with my sisters, mother, and my niece. We had this very random trip a few suns ago and it was refreshing! It always amazes me how a "nature escape" can do wonders to both my physical body and my mental state.

Let's take a quick walk to the mountains, shall we?

If you are in Cebu, you would be familiar with Monterrazas de Cebu. This is located in Guadalupe, Cebu City and they have function halls and swimming pools for events like birthdays, weddings, reunions, gatherings, etcetera. In fact, we had our quote-and-quote clan reunion last 2014 here in Monterrazas. But of course, that is an entirely different story to tell.

My sister gwenfinity@gwenfinity had to meet someone who lived here in Monterrazas and she decided to tag our mother along. Our Mama likes to go on road trips like this (I guess we inherited her sense of adventure a.k.a. laagan sense lol). Mama asked if we could join, so that the more the merrier haha. My ate eeventuree@eeventuree and I did not have work at that time, so we joined the fun road trip!

While my ate Gwen went to her friend's house, my Ate Eve and I went out for a quick walk and of course, we took some mandatory "I was here" kind of photos LOL. My niece Kendra enjoyed running around as well, as the area up in the mountains had plenty of space for running, walking, jogging, and the like.

I soaked all the peace, quiet, sunlight, beauty of the place because it was not as often I could get a breather like this. I breathed all the mountain air I could breathe. I was left awestruck with such a prepossessing view of the city! WOAH. I then thought, "If I lived here, I would probably never leave my house. Look at this bewitching view. I could stay here all day, all night, all week, month..." I have always longed for a house in the mountains, so that's why my heart is always bursting with happiness when I am looking at the city from the point of view high up there.

When you enter the place, this sign greets you.

Welcome all to Monterrazas de Cebu!

Whoa. What a grand welcome from Mr. Sun!

The sky and the trees are at peace.

022.jpg
Would you now look at this view!
021.jpg
The sunny day gets even better.

I love the could formation.

009.jpg
It is another view, I suppose.

Trees in their glory, contrasted in the blue-and-white sunny sky

I just like this particularly close-up shot of the trees.

Mr. Sun is showing off!

This city view though 💙

A different view💓
008.jpg
Haha it is a "try to find my shadow" photo

003.jpg
Jump shot 🤣
002.jpg
The road was empty so I just had to take a photo lol

Reaching for the sky!

My niece and I had a jump shot together but we're not so coordinated with our jumps. 🤣

This wild rose in full bloom was just so eye-catching that I had to take a photo.
018.jpg
These two are in full bloom. And they are just there, outside the house, without the risk of being picked by some random people. Perks of living in the mountains. Because if these lovelies are in the city and they are just outside the house, the next thing you know, they are gone and sold in the nearest market. I am very happy that these pretty pink roses are safe to always see the light of day. 😍
016.jpg
Best friends! They are so sweet and clingy and their bond is too tight. I wish I was a pink wild rose, too.
019.jpg
I am a little bit obsessed with these wild flowers! Now I have an idea of what to plant when I have my own garden and my own house in the future.

It was a refreshing treat to be in the mountains, even for just a few hours. It seemed that time slowed down and I could hear the birds singing. The city is too loud so I do not really get to hear a lot of music from the neighbouring birds haha. And the view up there? I don't get to see that every day, and it was just plainly spectacular. Do you also enjoy the mountain view, or are you more of a "sea view" kind of person?

‘Til the next post, hivers! Remember that you are loved beyond borders and beyond time & space. Okay? Okay. 💛❤️

Ciao for now! 🤗🥰
