The market cap of bitcoin will be larger than the market cap of gold within the next 10 years
I don't when, but I do know bitcoin is going to overtake gold in terms of market cap.
To be safe, I will say it will happen over the next decade.
This isn't just a hunch on my part, it's based on what it's already done.
In the last 5 years alone, the market cap of bitcoin has grown by more than 50x.
In order to overtake gold it will need to grow roughly 25x from here, (if the gold market doesn't shrink that is).
That means in order to overtake gold, bitcoin will need to grow at half the rate it has in the last 5 years and it has double the length of time to do it (10 years).
Seems perfectly reasonable to me!

Billions of people have smart phones in the world today, and that number is going to get larger.
Smart phones can hold bitcoin, but none of them can hold gold.
