Every heard of the Bubble Fund?
It was a portfolio created by a Bloomberg editor with the idea of putting the most over-hyped and "obvious shorts" into a portfolio and seeing how they perform.
As you might have guessed, that portfolio included bitcoin.
It also included Netflix, Tesla, and Argentinian bonds (among other things).

Year to date, that portfolio has returned 17%.
Besting the year to date returns of the S&P 500 by a few percentage points.
Ironically, had the porfolio had a larger allocation to bitcoin it be smashing the rest of the market.
Pretty interesting that the obvious shorts are doing better than the rest of the market.
