I've never really truly understood my mind,
Its complexity bewilders me,
It brings about the perfect pain,
but it's only the place my thoughts run free.
One minute it's my friend,
The next my dearest enemy,
It controls everything I say,
a true conqueror of all territory.
How it can be so vindictive and cruel,
At the dawn of a new day I'm a hero,
By night it'll convince me to be a fool.
One spot where I'm forever blind,
I guess that just shapes the beautiful mystery,
of the ludicrous thing I call my mind.
Thanks for reading my poem. I hope it encouraged you to think about more how your mind makes you feel because we are all different. I wrote this poem as a way of retrieving the emotions from inside me. I think it's important to speak out about how we truly view life in order to remain honest with ourselves.
Hope you all have a great weekend.Jonathan :)
