NGC 659

NGC 659 is located about 8200 light-years away. It is somewhat smaller, and has 180 young stars, being estimated its age in about 20 million years. NGC 659 shares many similarities with M103, is a little more than a degree of distance, so nothing prevents us from enjoying it on the same night we point to this populated region of the sky. It measures 6 minutes of arc of diameter and its magnitude of 7.9.

The great spiral galaxy NGC 891 covers about 100 thousand light-years and is seen completely. It is located about 30 million light-years away in the Andromeda constellation, NGC 891 is much like the Milky Way. This galaxy was discovered by Karoline Lucretia Herschel in 1783. It has a Magnitude 10.6.
