Hello and good morning all!
Today I'd like to share a horse bust I carve for a great lady and awesome client who likes to collect my work.
Another project I had to leave my comfort zone for. Don't carve many horses.
The wood was from a storm damaged white pine log that fell apart. This was just a piece from that log. Doesn't look like much yet..I had to mark the log to get the basic shape.
After looking at photos(alot), I managed to carve the rest. Here it is after saw work and some detailing.
