Hello all and good morning!
Today I'd like to share my most popular design but in hillbilly fashion.
This bear has overalls on!
He started out as just a "cookie" with some scribbles.
Being that I get mostly storm damaged trees to work with, this is an example of what I need to do to most pieces as I carve them. See the split/crack on his snout?
Filled the cracks with shims and gorilla glue.
Not long after, the saw work was done. This is 100% chainsaw at this point. Besides the glue of course.
Here he is after a little detailing. I like to leave the chainsaw marks because you cant call it a chainsaw carving if you sand all the marks off lol.
After a light burn with the torch and sanding the char off.
Then finished off with the airbrush. I did the blue overalls first, then the black.
