Hello and good morning all, today I'd like to share my most recent project.
An oversized Heron for a good customer.
It started off as this giant log that couldn't be moved by hand.
I had cut a slice off the log and this was in the cut. Looks like a silhouette of a man. Can you see it?
I blocked it out to make it light enough to move under my carport with a handcart.
And not long after, the bird emerged.
After blocking, I begin on the details. Still all chainsaw at this point.
Some sanding and additions..
Slight burning with a torch..
Then base paint..
And highlights with white...
Delivery to its forever home, looks as if it belongs looking over that koi pond.
My client was very happy.
