[ES/EN] Entretenimiento y educación en recién nacidos, ¿es posible?

Saludos a todos papás, mamás y miembros de la familia que forman parte de esta comunidad, en esta ocasión deseo compartir con ustedes, una publicación basada en la importancia de la educación y el entretenimiento en nuestros hijos, en este caso a un recién nacido, ¿es posible entretener y educar al mismo tiempo?.
Como padres vemos crecer a nuestros hijos muy rápido, un mes y de repente ya tienen tres meses y así sucesivamente, aún cuando consideramos que están muy pequeños, sabemos qué antes de que ellos nazcan, en en el vientre de mami, ellos empiezan a aprender, tanto es así, que cuando ellos nacen al escuchar la voz de mamá se sienten tranquilos y del mismo modo reconocen a papá, si durante el embarazo dedico tiempo a hablarle y lo mismo ocurre con otro familiar.
Es evidente que no nos llamara por nuestro nombre, pero si responderá al estímulo recibido, ya sea por voz directa o incluso a través de los medios de comunicación.
Greetings to all dads, moms and family members who are part of this community, on this occasion I want to share with you a publication based on the importance of education and entertainment in our children, in this case a neonate. Is it possible to entertain and educate at the same time?
As parents we see our children grow very fast, one month and suddenly they are already three months old and so on, even when we consider that they are very small, we know that before they are born, in mommy's womb, they begin to learn, so much so, that when they are born when they hear mommy's voice they feel calm and in the same way they recognize daddy, if during pregnancy I spend time talking to him and the same happens with other family members.
It is obvious that they will not call us by name, but they will respond to the stimulus received, either by direct voice or even through the media.

Entonces nos lleva a plantearnos lo siguiente: si desde el vientre de mamá, ellos desarrollan estas capacidades, con cuánta más razón estando fuera, claro ellos se enfrentan a un sin número de nuevas emociones, sensaciones, desde olores, sonidos o ruidos, hasta una gran variedad de colores. ¿Cómo estimular todos los sentidos y a su vez educarlos?.
La clave fundamental es el tiempo y la dedicación, y lo hemos comprobado, desde que nuestro bebé esta en casa; nos hemos esforzado por ayudarlo aprender, sin duda todos los que hemos atravesado esta primera etapa de vida de nuestros niños, reconocemos que no es muy fácil, sobre todo por el tiempo tan cambiante, las obligaciones y ocupaciones que tenemos, tanto papá, como mamá.
This leads us to ask ourselves the following question: if they develop these abilities from mom's womb, how much more so when they are outside, of course they face a number of new emotions, sensations, from smells, sounds or noises, to a variety of colors. How to stimulate all the senses and at the same time educate them?
The fundamental key is time and dedication, and we have proven it, since our baby is at home; we have made an effort to help him learn, without a doubt all of us who have gone through this first stage of life of our children, recognize that it is not very easy, especially because of the changing weather, the obligations and occupations that we have, both dad and mom.
Y sí mamá decidió dar lactancia exclusiva, entonces el bebé tiene una mayor demanda de parte de ella, así que la mejor manera de ayudar al desarrollo intelectual y emocional de nuestros pequeños, es dedicándoles tiempo.
And if mom decided to breastfeed exclusively, then the baby has a greater demand from her, so the best way to help the intellectual and emotional development of our little ones is to dedicate time to them.

Hay muchas ayudas en la actualidad, desde libros, videos y hasta material didáctico. En nuestro caso, hemos utilizado todas estas herramientas. Hare una breve descripción de como los hemos usado y al final, analizaremos los resultados.
Por lo que hemos aprendido durante estos primeros meses, en las terapias ocupacionales de estimulación temprana (por sugerencia médica), ha sido necesario programar el tiempo y las actividades.
Este tipo de estimulación, deberían recibirla absolutamente todos los neonatos, pero en las instituciones publicas debido a sus capacidades limitadas, se da prioridad a bebes que recibieron oxigeno al nacer u otra afectación, de modo que las terapias pueden ayudar al bebe a que desarrolle sus capacidades, que pudieron verse afectadas por los inconvenientes, antes, durante y después del parto. Así que la estimulación, en nuestro caso, nos ha ido ayudando en el proceso y desarrollo de nuestro pequeño y mi esposa 
There are many aids nowadays, from books, videos and even didactic material. In our case, we have used all these tools. I will make a brief description of how we have used them and at the end, we will analyze the results.
From what we have learned during these first months, in the occupational therapies of early stimulation (by medical suggestion), it has been necessary to schedule time and activities.
This type of stimulation should be received by absolutely all neonates, but in public institutions due to their limited capacities, priority is given to babies who received oxygen at birth or other affectation, so that the therapies can help the baby to develop his capacities, which could have been affected by the inconveniences, before, during and after delivery. Al principio se nos comentó de que ellos no ven la gama de colores que un adulto, solamente ven en blanco y negro durante los primeros dos meses, luego empiezan a ver otros colores como el rojo y el verde, por lo que los niños al percibir algún tipo de luz voltean, no es que estén viendo las lámparas o a los bombillos. A los tres meses, ya empiezan a distinguir las formas, ya que al principio perciben sombras o bultos, de ahí la importancia de la estimulación visual, a esto sumamos la estimulación auditiva y la sensorial.
Que tiene que ver esto con el tema de recreación y educación, es que el realizar estas terapias, ha contribuido a la atención y el buen contacto con nuestro pequeño, y a la hora de entretenerlo preste atención y el material didáctico sea más fácil de usar.
At the beginning we were told that they do not see the range of colors that an adult sees, they only see in black and white during the first two months, then they begin to see other colors such as red and green, so the children turn around when they perceive some kind of light, not that they are looking at the lamps or light bulbs. At three months, they begin to distinguish shapes, since at first they perceive shadows or lumps, hence the importance of visual stimulation, to this we add auditory and sensory stimulation.
What this has to do with the theme of recreation and education, is that performing these therapies, has contributed to the attention and good contact with our little one, and when it comes to entertain him pay attention and the educational material is easier to use.
Entre el material didáctico, existen muchos elementos, juguetes, dibujos y accesorios para bebés. Al finalizar la hospitalización de nuestro pequeño, estando en casa, a los pocos días, recibimos un hermoso obsequio de una gran amiga, un parque infantil.
Among the didactic material, there are many elements, toys, drawings and accessories for babies. At the end of our little one's hospitalization, while we were at home, a few days later, we received a beautiful gift from a great friend, a playpen.

Al principio no consideramos lo útil que podría ser, pero si nos preguntamos como podría ayudar a nuestro bebé. Por lo general a mí me gusta entretener a los niños, sea con la voz, haciendo cambios, con las marionetas, con los juguetes y si es de sentarme en el piso y acostarme a jugar carritos u otro juego lo hago, así que como no hacerlo con mi niño.
Cómo pueden observar, el parque posee varios personajes, una palmera, un tigre, mariposas, una jirafa, en lo que es la parte de la alfombra observamos algunos animalitos, y otros elementos. Algunos amigos, le habían obsequiado a nuestro hijo, un mono y una ardillita y en el hospital una figura de Pedro Picapiedra, así todos juntos forman parte de esta selva especial.

Cómo les dije, a mí me gusta hacer variaciones de voz, entonces un día junto a mi pequeño, empecé a identificar a cada personaje, para hacerlo fácil para mí y enseñarle a él, lo que hice fue colocar el titulo Señor o señorita a los personajes, entonces tenemos: al señor Mono, al señor Jirafa, el señor Tigre, el Señor Palmera, las señoritas Mariposas, la ardilla por ser un personaje, de una comiquita de televisión de mi infancia, conocida como Chip y Dale, es el Señor Chip y por último el Señor Picapiedra.
As I said, I like to do voice variations, so one day with my little boy, I started to identify each character, to make it easy for me and to teach him, what I did was to put the title Mr. or Miss to the characters, so we have: Mr. Monkey, Mr. Giraffe, Mr. Tiger, Mr. Palm Tree, Miss Butterflies, the squirrel for being a character from a TV cartoon from my childhood, known as Chip and Dale, is Mr. Chip and finally Mr. Flintstone.

Aclaramos que no es machismo, que la mayoría sean señores, sino es la percepción, ya que mi esposa el otro día, dijo Señora Jirafa, y es que por lo general, ella está descansando cuando yo hago está dinámica con nuestro bebé.
En el parque, todos los personajes inculcan algo al pequeño, por ejemplo el señor Palmera, se encarga de enseñar lo que tiene que ver con los buenos modales y las normas de cortesía, es decir: buenos días, por favor y gracias, etc; el señor Jirafa se encarga de la parte biológica y de ciencias, como los animales y las plantas; el señor Chip, es el encargado del turismo y los viajes, con su sombrero para cubrirse de los rayos del sol y realizar sus aventuras; las señoritas Mariposas, forman parte de la Orquesta musical, como bailarinas y se encargan de los temas culturales; el señor tigre, es el director musical y el Señor Mono, es el encargado del parque y del entrenamiento físico y Picapiedra, es quien da la bienvenida al parque, al decir: "Viiiilmaaa, ya llego el enano, Lían". A la hora de enseñarle a nuestro niño, tomo en cuenta sus capacidades y entro yo también como narrador, para enseñarle la parte moral y espiritual, aprovechando también para realizar las terapias visuales, auditivas y sensoriales.

When it comes to teaching our child, I take into account his abilities and I also enter as a narrator, to teach him the moral and spiritual part, also taking advantage to perform visual, auditory and sensory therapies.

Pero, porque tomar en cuenta todas esas materias o temas, tal vez ustedes digan, es un niño muy pequeño, pero hasta ahora los resultados nos indican que vamos bien y el disfruta ese tiempo que se dedica a él.

La otra herramienta, tiene que ver con los vídeos, en internet hay una gran cantidad, que han sido muy útil a los padres, yo voy a destacar 4.
La primera serie de videos, es conocida como El Reino Infantil - La Granja de Zenón, un grupo musical conformados por animales de la granja, con canciones animadas y educativas; mi esposa aprendió desde niña muchas de esas canciones, y cuando trabajo en una guardería, se las grabo muy bien.
CantaJuegoVevo, otro grupo musical, conformado por un grupo de jóvenes, con variedad de canciones y coreografías para entretener y educar a los niños, por cierto una de sus canciones favoritas es "Soy una taza" y me tocó, aprenderme la coreografía, de verdad disfruta ver a su papá y mamá, bailando para él.
Otro grupo musical relacionado con el aprendizaje cantando es, Doremi, nos enseña a identificar objetos, lugares, números, meses, etc tanto en español como en inglés.
Y por último, La serie animada, Hazte amigo de Jehová, que nos ayuda en la parte moral y espiritual, con canciones y lecciones prácticas para niños de todas las edades.
No es un asunto, de ver nada más televisión o la computadora, no queremos tampoco que sea el televisor o una pantalla, quién eduque y entretenga a nuestro hijo, nuestro objetivo es que sea una herramienta en el proceso de enseñanza y recreación.

And finally, the animated series, Become Jehovah's Friend which helps us in the moral and spiritual part, with songs and practical lessons for children of all ages.
It is not a matter of just watching television or the computer, we do not want the television or a screen to be the one who educates and entertains our children, our objective is that it be a tool in the process of teaching and recreation.

Y la tercera y última herramienta, y no menos importante, es la lectura, sea en físico o formato digital, por lo que de vez en cuando leemos cuentos, historias y lo adaptamos a conversaciones con él.

Manejando con equilibrio la enseñanza, no esperaríamos que nuestro hijo se aprenda las tablas de multiplicar, pero si que identifique los números con los dedos de nuestras manos a su debido momento, por mencionar un ejemplo, aún falta para eso, pero desde ya lo estamos estimulando.
Los resultados hasta ahora, nos han demostrado de que nuestro bebé va por buen camino; los lazos afectivos entre nosotros y él se han fortalecido, incluso cuando está inquieto o empieza a llorar, nos detenemos un momento y le hablamos y entre pucheros, lágrimas y un llanto no escandaloso, sentimos que se trata de comunicar con nosotros.
Nos sorprende es la interacción social que ha desarrollado, mientras toma pecho, se ha acostumbrado a agarrar un dedo de su mami con su mano, y hace unos días que visitamos al pediatra, mientras lo examinaba, con el estetoscopio para chequear sus pulmones y corazón, a la hora de auscultarlo, nuestro bebé agarro con su mano un dedo del doctor. El doctor le dijo a mi esposa, que por lo general los bebes lloran o se quejan al contacto de ese aparato frío, el nuestro fue sociable y tierno.

We are surprised by the social interaction he has developed, while breastfeeding, he has become accustomed to grabbing his mommy's finger with his hand, and a few days ago when we visited the pediatrician, while examining him with the stethoscope to check his lungs and heart, at the time of auscultating him, our baby grabbed the doctor's finger with his hand. The doctor told my wife that usually babies cry or complain at the touch of that cold device, ours was sociable and tender.

Además, cuando nos ha tocado salir al hospital, o realizar alguna diligencia necesaria, cuando tenemos oportunidad de interactuar con otras personas, tomando en cuenta la distancia social, y le hablan directamente, aparte de prestar atención y mirar a los ojos, también demuestra capacidad de comunicación al responder con balbuceos, gestos, sonrisas y hasta pucheros. Sabemos que no nos entiende al pie de la letra, pero estamos convencidos de que si nos presta atención y que algo en su pequeño cerebro está recopilando información.
Algo que nos ha sorprendido, es como interactúa con la naturaleza, en la entrada de la casa hay varias plantas, cuando nos acercamos a ese lugar, por decirlo de alguna manera, empieza a conversar con ellas, y en ocasiones disfruta cuando lo colocamos en su moisés para que las observe y disfrute el vaivén que genera el viento, es como si fueran sus móviles naturales; del mismo modo cuando vamos en la calle, lo hace con los arboles, arbustos y flores.

Something that has surprised us, is how he interacts with nature, at the entrance of the house there are several plants, when we approach that place, so to speak, he begins to talk with them, and sometimes he enjoys when we place him in his bassinet to observe them and enjoy the swaying generated by the wind, it is as if they were his natural mobiles; in the same way when we go on the street, he does it with the trees, bushes and flowers.

Como conclusión, podemos decir que si es posible combinar el entretenimiento con la educación de nuestros pequeños, pero se necesita tiempo, dedicación, un poco de imaginación y creatividad; además contamos con ayudas, como material didáctico, videos y lecturas educativas. También contamos con los especialistas y de una comunidad de padres, que muchas veces también disponen de su tiempo para orientar a los nuevos.
No hay mayor satisfacción de saber que nuestros hijos, se están desarrollando sanamente tanto física, intelectual, emocional y espiritualmente y que tanto mamás y papás, nos sentimos orgullosos al ver los resultados progresivos.
Éxito en la crianza de sus hijos, estoy atento a cualquier sugerencia y espero compartir con ustedes en una próxima oportunidad.
In conclusion, we can say that it is possible to combine entertainment with the education of our children, but it takes time, dedication, a little imagination and creativity; we also have help, such as didactic material, videos and educational readings. We also have specialists and a community of parents, who often also have their time to guide the new ones.
There is no greater satisfaction to know that our children are developing healthily physically, intellectually, emotionally and spiritually and that both moms and dads feel proud to see the progressive results.
