In 2009 a conjecture was made that a software project was impregnable and would increasingly store value as long as we remain a conflict based society.
Since then it has accrued $100 billion in value and any attempt to attack it has only served to prove the network’s security. However there is a growing natural counter-force evolving that is continuously attempting to break the conjecture.
Today we have Bitcoin, the software implementation of Satoshi Nakamoto’s conjecture, and there has arisen a counter force called Bitcoin Cash: a growing movement with a stated mandate to take over Bitcoin’s hashing power (computer network), branding power, development process, and ultimately its value.
Bitcoin’s transaction capacity was recently overfilled to point where it is unusable for lower value transactions while simultaneously the price of Bitcoin Cash was pumping. We are likely to see successive events like this in the near future.
This chart from /u/nyaaaa on Reddit shows how Bitcoin mempool backlogs over the past few months were oftentimes preceded by an increase in #BitcoinCash's hashrate (making Bitcoin blocks slower). https://t.co/i8ai90jddM pic.twitter.com/fs95feqv07

It’s effectively a (not so) covert Sybil/51% attack.
It is not: immovable object versus unstoppable force.
It is impermeable software versus those that don’t believe nor understand strength the conjecture.
