What is the funniest or weirdest thing you were told as a child( you believed it as a child) ?

Honestly there are so many things I was told as a kid that I believed. I can only imagine the laughs people around me must have gotten from watching me believe all of them. There were so many but I think the two most prominent were

1) Don't eat seeds or trees will grow in your stomach

2)Don't use too much Dettol or you'll become white, just like Micheal Jackson. I honestly believed that trees, especially orange trees would grow in my stomach and out through my mouth and I'd have to live like that forever. So one day I mistakenly swallowed a seed. I legit thought my life was over. I ran to my mom and told her and I was crying so hard. Then my prat of a brother made it worse and said when the tree grew, they'd plant me at the back. The horror.

As for the Dettol line, I never for once used Dettol for myself. I always called someone to pour some for me. I think they just didn't want me wasting it. But one day, my prat of a brother got mad at me just before I was to take a bath and to punish me, he poured raw Dettol on me. I literally flipped out. I didn't want to be a white guy.

I can't believe I ever believed that stuff🤣🤣
