Two founders of Centra Tech, an ICO that advanced the idea of a cryptocurrency debit card, have been arrested and charged with fraud. They raised $32 million on the false premise that they had agreements in place with Visa and MasterCard.
Things like this do not help the reputation of digital assets and ICOs. I remember seeing a lot of ads for this offering on Facebook, and I can't help but wonder if the recent bans on cryptocurrency advertising by Google and Facebook were influenced by this. I'm sure investigators have been talking to Zuckerberg and others for months while they built a case.
