If you are travelling from Kuala Lumpur to Kelantan. Its quite a long journey, you can stop at a stall called 'kedarotipaye' or Kedai Roti Tempayan. Its location is near the junction of three main traffic lights in Guchil Kuala Krai connecting Kuala Krai, Gua Musang and Kota Bharu. It is next to the Caltex petrol station. The warung is small and mediocre. However, this shop is actually the focus of many of the locals as well as the dignitaries. Often customers will order several slices of this “roti tempayan” and various types of gravy such as peanut butter, meat curry, chicken and goat. In addition, a special dressing fish head curry is also served.This “Roti tempayan” here are indeed the best and special. Soft, fluffy and good at eating. The dough is then beaten and burned in a jar with charcoal. Its priced at RM1.50 per piece while the broth depends on the type of fish. Ordinary sets are tempeh bread with meat curds and chicken priced at RM3.50, while goat curry is priced at RM5.00. Besides eating here you can also take away.
