Though my wife fears
I'm being stalked,
But he's gentle
And keeps his place
Calls for me
And knows my face.
He lights on trees
And hydro poles,
Follows though woods,
Then all the way home.
It’s a game with him,
Something to do
And he's become fast friends
With my dog too.
Jays and cardinals
Visit my yard
Feeding in turns
Safe from harm,
But my feathery friend
Won't wait in queue
Content to fly
As part of my crew.
