I do occasionally but it's rare. The Dedicated To You poem was also the dedication of my novels to my wife - fitting because she's my Muse. I understand the line between public and private - some writers blur across it like Nicholas Sparks who even gives friends and relatives parts in his tales and uses their names - I use just about everyone I've ever known in some way in my work but fictionalized. Sometimes I realize afterwards that I thought I made up a name which turns out to be someone I knew way back. I must have subconsciously remembered their name - not their character traits - just their name, lol.
