In my arms
The touch of your sun-warm skin,
I remember once again
The scent of tanning lotion,
And the marble clouds above
And the soft words
That were spoken.
All your words
Mock me
Now that we are broken.
All those shining moments
Shattered yet saved,
Broken shards of pain
Align once again
And you and I reprise
A reverie
Of summer clouds and skies
That ends as it must
In the loneliness of us,
With lovely marble skies...
And my reflection in your eyes.
