From dark moments,
Chalk images,
And the ball of the moon
Over solitary gardens,
Hauntingly
Anti-romantic.
I want my poems
To magnetize moments,
Swirl grains of night
Into patterns
Inside you,
Each word
A raw nerve,
A petite lightning.
I want my lines
To twist inside you,
Remind you
That my love
Is still hiding
In darkened deserts
Where I’ve never been
And night terrors
That still frighten you.
