What this creates is massive autovoting instead of the social way of manual curation, plus it also means that a lot of people vote on the safe posts which ususally gets a lot of high upvotes, and that creates it's own feedback, where more votes flock to those posts, and the social part gets put on the back burner.
This is true based on my experience. On Hive I autovote. On leofinance, I only manual upvote and I comment on blogs I read.
