I feel like the box office has become something of a bang-or-bust. Things either do extremely well and defy all expectations, or they do the opposite and bomb horrifically.

Maybe I don't pay enough attention, but I've not seen an article lately describing a film breaking even, or performing within margins of expectation.

Hopefully the studios will pay attention to what is earning money and steer the industry in the right direction. Clearly the solution to profitable film making isn't in the levels of CGI, I think it is in competent escapism and good storytelling.

Even Indy flms have shown that good storytelling and film making is the key to success. Obsession was a great movie, and i don't believe it to be a Unicorn.

Anyway, I enjoyed both films (that you've shown) immensely.
