Agriculture entails using nature's gift of land and other resources to create an enabling environment for man to thrive in vis-a-vis growing crops for man's consumption, as well as the rearing of animals as well.

Also, proceeds from agriculture is used in the creation of shelter, manufacturing of equipment and tools, making of clothes and other raw material for other uses.

Examples of crops grown for man's consumption includes beans, rice, cassava, maize, millet, vegetables and a whole lot of others.
Animals reared for food include but are not limited to cows, ram, goats, fishes, crabs, chicken, etc.

Wood taken from trees can be used in building houses for shelter, creating farm implements for daily use, as firewood and even for the manufacturing of paper.
