These photos were the result of an almost unpredictable need...
Actually, I wanted to make a post about the hike of over 22 kilometers (13.7 miles) which I have made last weekend, but because of the current situation with our second hard lockdown and lots of work in the office I just couldn't find enough time to edit the photos.
So instead I am posting these photos which I have had prepared already.

A couple of weeks ago I drove around without any destination in mind. It was a foggy and rainy morning and to be honest, I couldn't find any motivation nor another reason to stop the car and look for photo opportunities … until my bladder suddenly reported that I needed to urgently look for a bush, if you know what I mean ;)

As this happened I had just left the city of Völkermarkt towards the Drau river in the south and I knew there is a parking lot and a little forest right before the bridge. Because it was such an unpleasant weather the parking lot was empty and so I took advantage of this situation and a few minutes later I could smile again :) I hope you don't tell anyone, but all other solutions would have come too late anyway ;)

A few days before, they had finished renovating the bridge and so I thought I could take a few photos while I'm there. But it seemed they have only renovated the upper part of the bridge and didn't clean the bottom nor the pillars ;)

As mentioned above, it was slightly raining and quite dark in the morning and I haven't done long exposures in awhile - so I didn't have my filter system with me either. This part of the Drau river is also a reservoir and the water is flowing quite slowly. There was also a lot of dirt in the water, but Photoshop helped me to clean it up.
There was not much color around, so I have made black&white versions of the photos too - I do prefer the monochrome to the colored ones.
So, that's all for today. If I can find some spare time I will edit my photos from Saturday and prepare a post.
It says "Thank you for partnering with the Papillon Foundation by participating in the Weekly Hive Charity Giveaway.".
