Tibia is an MMORPG game that was created in 1997 by a group of German students. It was so successful that they created Cipsoft, the company in charge of running Tibia, which currently has between 15,000 and 30,000 players online and there are approximately 500,000 active players from all over the world.
Tibia has a huge map which you can walk around freely, in many places you will find all kinds of monsters from fierce wolves and bears, to magical creatures like dragons, cyclops and hydras.
In Tibia you must level up your character, also increase your skills which will allow you to hunt more powerful creatures.
You can also fight other players with a limit which avoids the lack of control, but if you like the calm there are the NON-Pvp servers, where the players must fulfill certain conditions to attack each other, and in case you like to fight as much as you can there are the HARDCORE-Pvp servers where you can attack players without limit.
When you create your account it will first appear in "dawnport" the island where you can learn the difficulties that you will find in the game, at level 8 you can choose one of the 4 vocations that exist which are Sorcerer, Druid, Knight and Paladin.
In Tibia there are mysteries that despite the years nobody or few have managed to discover, some of them are the Magic Long Sword there is only 1 in the game, or how to reach the basilisk which can be seen in the mines of the city of Kazordoon but nobody knows how to enter his cave, the serpetine tower and many more.

When you die in tibia there is a penalty that will take away your experience and you can drop your equipment (if you don't have it protected), it is quite hard to level up and the deaths can make you lose several hours of gameplay, I think that is something that makes the game more exciting because when you level up you feel that you have achieved something very important, when you get out of a situation where you almost died is a great relief.
In Tibia you can make friends of facts is a very important part of the game, I remember that we were playing my group of friends in high school we had fun times, it was part of my childhood and the people I met through the game most are still my friends in real life.
