10:30 PM - 12:00 AM - First three episodes. I finally got my mom to watch it. The show gets better through the five seasons. Interesting that Full House premiered in 1987. The sequel came almost 30 years after that. The actors all improve a lot through the five seasons. The show has many 4th-wall jokes.
A 4th wall joke is a joke that is directed at the 4th wall. What is the fourth wall? In stage craft class in high school, we were taught that the 4th wall is a reference to the audience because an actor on a stage has one wall to his right and a second wall to his left and a third wall behind him. The 4th wall is an invisible wall that divides the actors from the audience. It's like an interrogation room mirror where the people inside only see a reflection of themselves and the people on the outside can see them. Technically, I'm talking about when actors break the 4th wall, then the actor is then able to talk directly to the audience. Thus, a 4th wall joke is told directly to the audience as the characters may not get it. At the end of the 2nd episode of season 1 of Fuller House, Jesse asks, "Do you hear violins?" That's played in the background for the show but the actual characters don't hear it. But the audience does. Thus a joke told by that character acting like a narrator for the audience. Comedy shows probably can get away with breaking the 4th wall and I like it.
I ended my day watching the first three eposides of Fuller House. Today, was able to organize the living room a little. Scanning photos as usual. Organing things. Also, interesting Molyneux Call-in Show for sure.
