Like vs Upvote?

Steem should have three main buttons, Like, Dislike, and Upvote.

No Flags

So, in other words, no Flag or Downvote.

Numbers

I would have Like and Dislike that simply has a number of how many people likes and dislikes posts and comments get. But I would have no money involved. And I would have an Upvote button where money is involved as it is now.

View Count

I would have a view count. I would even try to separate likes from bots and likes from personal accounts, if that's possible.

Like & Upvote

But regardless of that, I would prefer to keep upvoting separate from liking. For example, sometimes, I want to like something on Steemit. But I may be low on Resource Credit (RC) Manna points.

Running Low

So, I end up not liking posts when I'm low on HP or I mean RC. So, then I don't. Now, the upvoting pool might be ok.

Tipping

Now, other websites, other blockchain systems, may have a way to tip posts.

Minds.com

I think Minds.com has something like that. Well, Minds banned me. Well, anyways, tipping would be an alternative to the Steem upvoting pool system.

Both

I would prefer to have both. I would include a normal upvote button and a donate or gift or wiring or sending money button that will allow people to send their own money or whatever to the authors of the posts and comments at hand as opposed to only being able to get the money from the pool.

But who is collecting information from children? I'm not. So, what does this have to do with YouTube Content Creators? I thought children are not allowed on YouTube. Therefore, if children are on YouTube, then they are breaching such agreements, such a contract. They're the ones violating the rules, not you, not me. What does watching a video have to do with privacy? FCC can't stop children from watching videos. There are websites that mirror YouTube which means you do not have to log into YouTube to view videos on YouTube. There are ways around these systems. This is the Internet. Also, again, what does all of this have to do with privacy? The fourth amendment is already being violated. Social networks like Facebook, Google, etc, are and have been collecting and selling data, metadata, personal information, and are in fact making billions of dollars each year as they sell information to governments, advertisers, organizations, corporations, etc, etc.

What is targeted to children? Nothing and everything. But that is not relevant. It depends on each child. That is what freedom is all about. Each human can choose to watch it or not. Children are not slaves. Children are not being coerced to view videos. Well, if they are being forced, then they are being forced by whoever is forcing them in real life. A robot or a computer is not coming to their house to force them to watch videos that they do not want to watch. They decide to watch it. That is their responsibility. We might as well ban alcohol like they did around the 1920's or so in America or ban guns like some cities and some countries and some places do. But that creates vacuums and black markets and stuff. Kids can go and watch videos on other websites. That is the value behind blockchain technology.
