The battles becoming tougher on the Splinterlands battlefield is an understatement. Gone are the days of having it easy, every victory now requires a more strategic approach, stronger cards with abilities, and a bit of luck.

I and mistakili@mistakili had a go at each other last Sunday, it was a challenge I longed for since he beat me in October 2021. I still enjoy watching that battle to date.

For three rounds of battle, he had me where he wanted me with a 2-1 victory. I was left defeated for a second but he gave me another chance another three rounds of battle, it was a chance I embraced with immediate alacrity. The outcome of that was 3-0 in my favor.

it was really fun while it lasted, one thing was clear, Joe had spent some energy building up his deck, my deck is still 2020-2021 styled, if I’m going to get back into playing full time, I’d need to spend some resources upgrading my deck.

Splinterlands Deck building doesn't come easily a lot of resources are required and when the funds aren't available it gets tougher.

The launch of Chaos Legion moved the battles to a whole new level with Wild and Modern format. While ensuring my season win rate stays above 50% it has been taking a lot more grind.

With my summoners at level 4 except the Dragon Splinter summoners, the need for a level 5 upgrade is long overdue. Today I now have my first summoner at level 5. I just need to have 39+1 as seen above.
I was able to achieve this at the expense of selling my level 4 WIZZARD OF EASTWOOD. I am going to miss that summoner for the -2 Armor.

Next up is my Death Splinter summoner CONTESSA L'AMENT from the Untamed era has to go for THADDIUS BROOD. I hate flipping these summoners but I have to do that to stay competitive.

BORTUS and MOTHER KHALA my Water and Life summoners respectively are not for flipping, they require upgrades. I might have to flip PYRE for TARSA, will see how that goes.

Am glad to now own a level 5 summoner OBSIDIAN, there's going to be a win rate improvement from Earth Splinter as rip opponents apart.
