It was my birthday last Friday, and being a seafood lover, my friend recommended a seafood restaurant.

The restaurant is called Rangoon Ruby, located in Colombo Street, Christchurch.

So far, I have not found any restaurant in New Zealand that does seafood as nice as South Africa. So I was keen to try out Rangoon Ruby for my birthday, which was nice.

I have to say it's not as great as Ocean Basket in South Africa, which used to be my favorite seafood restaurant.

Enough of the comparison, Joe!

With my friends, we had prawns, squid, and boneless fillet fish brazed in fresh tomatoes, chili, coriander, and tamarind sauce.

For a salad, we had Timbodi Thoke, which I enjoyed. It was made with shredded green papaya, lemon, shrimp, roasted pea flour, and shallot oil.

Rangoon Ruby is a Myanmar 🇲🇲 restaurant, so it was nice to have dinner from Myanma restaurant for my birthday 🎂.
