It's the FIFA 2026 world cup and not a time for rugby but I haven't had time to share photos of the historic night I had at the Te Kaha Stadium grand opening.
I shared photos in the past about my work to commission the network coverage in time for the grand opening in the new stadium, so here are photos of the grand opening with a rugby 🏉 match between the Crusaders and Waratahs.
I definitely won't pay to go watch a rugby game because I don't understand it, so I was there for work to test the network performance during the game in full capacity packed stadium with everyone one their phones. The company arranged a front row seat for me so.
So after completing the test I sat to enjoy the game which I didn't understand but the vibe on that night was definitely great. Everyone excited to be in the new stadium and I could see why New Zealand love and do so well in rugby.
Now to make matters worse for me I didn’t know when the game was over like in soccer when the ref blows the final whistle after 90min 😂😂. I only realized the game is over when I saw people getting up to leave 🤣🤣.
I really need to pick interest in the game, I can't be in a rugby loving nation and be clueless about the game.
